Nepal is known for its handmade paper crafts. This hand-crafted paper decorations is made from the bark of a shrub, locally known as "Lokta", ”Daphne cannabina”, as it is also called, and grows on the southern slopes of Nepal’s Himalayan forests between 1600 and 4000 m.
